LANSING, January 30, 2010 – Michigan Lottery players were big winners Friday night when the numbers 1 0 1 0 came up in Friday’s Daily 4 Evening draw.

Players who had selected those numbers, a popular combination with Daily 4 players, won over $21.6 million

“Congratulations to all those lucky players who selected 1010 for Friday’s Daily 4 Evening wager!” said Lottery Commissioner Scott Bowen.

Daily 4 winners of prizes under $600 can claim their winnings at any Michigan Lottery retailer. Those players whose prizes were greater than $600 will need to visit a Michigan Lottery claim center to pick up their winnings.

Over 98.5 cents of every dollar spent on Michigan Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
