LANSING, July 15, 2009 – An anonymous player claimed a huge $483,107 Fantasy 5 jackpot. The winner matched all five numbers in the June 21 drawing to win the prize.

The player used birthdays to choose the winning own-pick ticket and plans to invest and get out of debt with the prize money.

The lucky ticket was purchased at BP Fuel, 15255 Hall Rd., in Macomb.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
