LANSING, May 1, 2009 – Andrew Parent of Grand Rapids told Lottery officials he was happy to learn of his March 17 Mega Millions win because it had been a while since he had got good news. Parent matched four white balls and the gold Mega ball to win $10,000 and three white balls on another line to bring his winnings to a whopping $10,007!

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Rivertown Marathon, 3980 44th St. SW, in Grandville.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
