LANSING, March 27, 2009 – On sale for just over one week, the first Million Dollar Mega Play top prize worth $1 million has been claimed. An anonymous woman, who cashed her winning ticket today at Lottery Central, is Michigan’s newest millionaire.

With 12 top $1 million prizes available, Million Dollar Mega Play offers  more opportunites for players to win $1 million than on any other Michigan Lottery instant ticket.11 top prizes remain unclaimed.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at the Southside Super Deli, 2000 Brooklyn Rd., in Jackson.

Million Dollar Mega Play is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers.
