LANSING, February 23, 2009 – An anonymous man claimed a $105,000 prize when he matched all five numbers in the December 26, 2008 Fantasy 5 drawing. On the same ticket he matched two of five numbers and won $1, bringing his total winning to $105,001!

The winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at TS Petro Inc., 36511 Garfield Rd., in Clinton Township.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
