Algonac woman wins with Club Keno

LANSING, March 28, 2008 – Kimberly Arneil really cashed in when she was playing Club Keno.

The 27-year-old was in shock when she realized she had won a total of $16,044! She matched all seven numbers in a 7-Spot game with a $4 wager and 2X Kicker, plus several small wins to rack up the cash.

The lucky winner, who has been playing the Lottery for three years, said she plans to use the prize money from her easy pick win to pay bills.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Snoopy’s Dog House, 2010 St. Clair River Dr., in Algonac.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
