Happy winner claims $22,004

LANSING, March 26, 2008 – A very lucky man won two times on the same 6-spot Club Keno ticket and won a grand total of $22,004!

The lucky Livonia man bet $2 a draw and selected the Kicker option for the match three of six and six of six wins!

The regular Lottery player selected his own numbers based on birthdays and ages. He plans to “save some and spend some” of his prize money.

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Archie’s Restaurant, 30471 Plymouth Rd., in Livonia.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
