LANSING, March 19, 2008 – A lucky woman, who told Lottery officials she was not a regular Lottery player, won $10,000 playing Club Keno.
Domenica Lividini matched all eight numbers on her 8-spot ticket to win the prize.
The Detroit woman purchased her lucky winning own-pick ticket at Salty Dog Tavern, 750 S. Oakwood, in Detroit.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
