LANSING, March 5, 2008 – A very lucky Elmhurst, NY man claimed a $10,000 prize from the Feb. 22 Mega Millions drawing. Antonio Alialy matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball to win the prize.
The regular Lottery player hid the ticket in his wallet prior to cashing it in at the Lottery’s Dearborn Heights office. He plans to use the prize money to purchase a TV and computer, and then give the rest away.
The lucky winning own pick ticket was purchased at Sam & Frans Broadway, 510 N. Monroe St., in Monroe.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
