$10,000 Club Keno prize claimed

LANSING, March 5, 2008 – A very lucky long-time Lottery player matched all eight of her 8-spot Club Keno numbers and walked away $10,000 richer!

The Garden City bartender, who’s name is Lori, was “stunned” with her win. She plans to pay bills and shop with her prize money. She enjoys crossword puzzles in her free time.

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Joe D’s Bar, 29242 Ford Rd., in Garden City.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
