Royal Oak woman wins $12,000

LANSING, February 19, 2008 – Heather Linz is a very lucky instant Lottery player. The 32-year-old, who has only played regularly for the last six months, scratched her way to a $12,000 prize from the Bingo Party game!

The lucky woman had her husband double check the winning ticket, just to make sure. They still didn’t believe their eyes and took the ticket to the store where they purchased it so they could check it again. The third time was the charm!

Linz plans to use the prize money to pay off a credit card and start a savings account for her daughter. In her free time, she enjoys reading.

The winning ticket was purchased at L&M Extra Kwik Inc., 1708 Crooks Rd., in Royal Oak.

Bingo Party is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution was $748.9 million.
