LANSING, February 19, 2008 – A lucky Warren man won $10,000 when he matched four white balls and the Mega ball in the Jan. 29 Mega Millions drawing.
Michael Yang said he hid the winning ticket in his dresser at home until claiming the prize at the Lottery office in Sterling Heights.
The lucky own pick ticket was purchased at Mayflower Market, 824 S. Main St., in Plymouth.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
