Winner "stunned" with Club Keno win

LANSING, February 14, 2008 – An anonymous man from Clawson told Lottery officials he was “stunned” when all seven of his 7-spot numbers in the Club Keno game showed up!

The normal prize payout for matching seven of seven numbers is $2,000. The lucky winner bet $2 a draw and played the Kicker, which came up 3X, and jumped his prize up to a huge $12,000!

The own pick ticket winnings plan on going to the winner’s children’s weddings and college graduations. He enjoys to backpack, hunt and farm in his free time.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Renshaw Lounge, 210 E. 14 Mile, in Clawson.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
