Winner claims $10,000

LANSING, February 11, 2008 – Steve Brower is a very lucky man! He matched four white balls and the Mega ball in the Jan. 22 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

The Hillsdale man, who teaches at Hillsdale High School, said he learned of his good fortune when one of his students was reading the newspaper.

He plans to save the prize money and enjoys golfing and boating in his spare time.

He purchased the winning easy pick ticket at Don’s Citgo and Service, 790 N. Broadway, in Union City.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan,California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers.
