LANSING, February 11, 2008 – A winner, who won $100,000 in the June Super Raffle drawing, claimed their prize on Jan. 29.
The anonymous winner purchased the ticket at Town and Country Liquor, 16261 W. 12 Mile Rd., in Southfield.
The June Super Raffle drawing was for two $2 million prizes (annuitized), 25 $100,000 prizes and 4,500 $500 prizes. The Super Raffle was the fifth Raffle game offered by the Lottery.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
