10X Kicker pays off for winner

LANSING, February 4, 2008 – James Potter was in disbelief when he matched seven of seven numbers in a 7-Spot Club Keno game. He was even more shocked when his prize was multiplied with a 10X Kicker to $20,001!

The lucky Plymouth man hid the winning ticket in his pocket before cashing it in at the Lottery office. He plans to use the prize money for home improvements and to take a trip to Las Vegas.

The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Penn Bar & Grille, 8200 Penniman, in Plymouth.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
