LANSING, January 11, 2008 – A very lucky Muskegon player has claimed a big Club Keno prize. The winner matched all five numbers in a 5-Spot game with a $20 wager and a 2X Kicker to win $16,400!
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he hid the ticket in his back pocket before cashing it in. He has no immediate plans for the prize money.
The own pick winning ticket was purchased at The Muskegon Landmark, 1308 W. Sherman Blvd., in Muskegon.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
