LANSING, December 28, 2007 – Over 2,000 lucky Michigan Lottery players will win prizes of $1 million, $100,000 or $500 in the January 2 Millionaire Raffle drawing!
Six prizes of $1 million, 12 prizes of $100,000 and 2,000 prizes of $500 will be awarded. The $1 million prize winning numbers will be announced during the Lottery’s regular televised evening drawing on January 2. Players will be able to check winning numbers on the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com/, at Lottery retailers or at Lottery regional offices throughout the state. Winning tickets must match the exact number drawn by the Lottery.
Players with winning tickets of either $1 million or $100,000 will need to contact the Lottery at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize. Prizes of $500 can be claimed at any Lottery retailer location.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
