LANSING, December 13, 2007 – It could be a very happy holiday for a lucky Classic Lotto 47 winner! A record $13.8 million is up for grabs in Saturday’s drawing!
The Classic Lotto 47 jackpot has been building since July when an anonymous couple claimed a then- record $12,624,787. The jackpot starts at $1 million and grows by at least $100,000 each time the jackpot is not won.
Although no jackpot winning tickets were sold in Wednesday’s drawing, five lucky players matched five of six numbers to win $2,500 each!
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 10-23-30-34-44-45.
Classic Lotto 47 is a six-digit game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for Saturday night’s drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. that night.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
