LANSING, November 21, 2007 – Brandon Atiyeh of Novi told Lottery officials that he “hyperventilated” after watching his Club Keno numbers come up on the screen.
Atiyeh matched seven of seven numbers and three of seven numbers to win a huge prize! The normal prize payout is $2,001, but the lucky man bet $5 a draw and selected the Kicker option, which came up 2X for each win, to bump his total prize up to $20,010!
The lucky winner claims he “loves Keno” and is excited to become “debt free”.
The lucky winning own pick ticket was purchased at Gatsby’s Restaurant, 45701 Grand River, in Novi.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
