LANSING, November 16, 2007 – John Grinnell of Lake Orion is $10,000 richer today! He matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number in the Nov. 13 Mega Millions drawing to win the prize.
The regular Lottery player was so excited with his win that he woke his wife up to tell her the good news. He put the winning ticket in his pocket and went straight to the Lottery’s Sterling Heights office to redeem it. He plans to put the prize money in the bank.
Grinnell purchased the winning own pick ticket at Kroger #637, 460 N. Lapeer Rd., in Lake Orion.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
