Super Raffle win is second big prize for St. Charles player

LANSING, October 23, 2007 – Barbara Reinke is one lucky Lottery player—times two!

The 53 year-old St. Charles woman was the first winner to claim a $100,000 prize after Monday’s Super Raffle drawing, but it wasn’t her first time in the Lottery’s winner room.  Reinke, a regular Lottery player since 2005, won a $115,002 Fantasy 5 jackpot in March of 2006!

Reinke discovered her Super Raffle yesterday win when she checked the Lottery’s Web site and saw that a $100,000 ticket had been sold at the Kroger store on Gratiot in Saginaw.  Realizing that was where she’d purchased her ticket, she checked the numbers and found that luck has struck twice.

While she used her Fantasy 5 winnings for several special purchases, including a new floor, a car for her daughter, a computer for her granddaughter, furniture and windows for her home, Reinke said she’ll invest her Super Raffle winnings and also use the money to help her daughter.

Already a big winner twice, Reinke is confident she’ll win again—next time on Keno!

Tuesday’s Super Raffle was for two $2 million prizes (annuitized), 25 $100,000 prizes and 4,500 $500 prizes.  The Super Raffle was the fifth Raffle game offered by the Lottery.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
