Cashword player wins big

LANSING, October 18, 2007 – A very lucky Saginaw winner has claimed $35,000 after scratching a winning Cashword Instant ticket.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said she “almost fainted” when she scratched her winning ticket.  She plans to use the prize money to pay off all her bills and take a trip to the casino.

The thankful winner purchased her winning ticket at Bay Road Express Stop, 2791 Bay Rd., in Saginaw.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
