LANSING, September 28, 2007 – The lucky winner said he “went numb” after realizing he had matched all five numbers in the Sept. 26 Fantasy 5 drawing to win $115,011!

The anonymous winner said he has been playing the Lottery for 20 years and this is his largest win to date.  He and his wife said they plan to use the money to pay bills, invest, buy a new car, take a vacation and give to charity.

He hid the ticket in a safe before claiming his prize.  The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Golden Star Party Shoppe, 1814 S. Newburgh Rd., in Westland.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
