LANSING, September 28, 2007 – A longtime Lottery club won a big prize when they matched five of six numbers in the September 21 Mega Millions prize!
The Chrome Dome Lotto Club has been playing together since 1975 and the $250,000 prize is their largest to date. About half the original club members are still involved.
Two representatives claimed the big prize at Lottery Central today and said none of the club members have immediate plans for their prize money. The club members work together at Diamond Chrome Plating in Howell.
The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Kroger #720, 108 W. Highland Rd., in Howell.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
