LANSING, September 25, 2007 – A Waterford man is $573,372 richer after he matched all five numbers in the Sept. 15 Fantasy 5 drawing!
The longtime Lottery player, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plays all the Lottery’s games and once won $10,000 on an Instant ticket in 1984.
He couldn’t sleep and “had shaky knees” after he realized his own pick ticket was a winner.
The winner plans to use the prize money to have a home built in Alabama and help his family and friends.
The winning ticket was purchased at CVS Pharmacy, 7091 Dixie Hwy., in Clarkston.
Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
