LANSING, September 11, 2007 – An anonymous woman scratched off 10 words on her Cashword ticket and instantly became $35,000 richer!
The regular Lottery player hid the ticket in her dresser drawer prior to cashing it in at the Lottery’s Saginaw office. She plans to pay bills with her prize money.
The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Murphy USA, 3954 Plett St., in Cadillac.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
