Lake Orion man wins big

LANSING, September 5, 2007 – He’s $10,000 richer!  A very lucky man has claimed his prize after he matched four white balls and the Mega ball in the August 21 Mega Millions drawing.

Joel Neumeyer checked his numbers on the Lottery’s Web site and was “happy” with the win.  He plans to use the money to pay bills.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Star Market, 3890 Joslyn Rd., in Orion.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
