Mega jackpot increased again!

LANSING, August 30, 2007 – High sales have driven the Mega Millions jackpot up to $330 million!

If a player wins Friday’s $330 million jackpot and chooses the annuity payment option, he or she will receive a whopping $12.7 million per year for 26 years, less taxes! That breaks down to $1,057,692 per month; $244,083 per week; $34,773 per day; and $4,347 per day for an eight-hour day!

If a winner prefers the prize in one payment, the amount is $194.4 million, less taxes.

“We are thrilled to give our players the chance win a whopping $330 million! This is one of the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever and we’d love to give the money to a lucky Michigan player.” Acting Lottery Commissioner Tom Weber said.

One winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball, on Tuesday night. That ticket is worth $250,000 and was purchased at CJ’s Smoke Shop, 1882 Whittaker Rd., Ypsilanti.

Mega Millions tickets must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing and are available at any of the Lottery’s over 11,000 retailers.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million. For additional information, please visit the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com.
