$325 million up for grabs!

LANSING, August 29, 2007 – The fourth largest Mega Millions prize is up for grabs!  No jackpot winning tickets were sold in last night’s drawing pushing the jackpot to a whopping $325 million!

One winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball, on Tuesday night.  That ticket is worth $250,000 and was purchased at CJ’s Smoke Shop, 1882 Whittaker Rd., in Ypsilanti.

If a player wins Friday’s $325 million jackpot and chooses the annuity payment option, he or she will receive a whopping $12.5 million per year for 26 years, less taxes!  That breaks down to $1,041,000 per month; $240,385 per week; $34,247 per day; and $4,281 per day for an eight-hour day!

If a winner prefers the prize in one payment, the amount is $191.2 million, less taxes.

Mega Millions tickets must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing and are available at any of the Lottery’s over 11,000 retailers.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
