LANSING, August 27, 2007 – What would you do with $250 million? You could be spending big if you win Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot now worth a whopping $250 million!
With no ticket sold in Friday night’s drawing that matched all six numbers, the jackpot continues to climb. One winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball, on Friday night. That ticket is worth $250,000 and was purchased at In & Out, 21100 W McNichols Rd., in Detroit.
If a player wins tomorrow’s $250 million jackpot and chooses the annuity payment option, he or she will receive a whopping $9.7 million per year for 26 years, less taxes! That breaks down to $807,000 per month; $186,000 per week; $26,554 per day; and $3,319 per day for an eight-hour day!
If a winner prefers the prize in one payment, the amount is $146.2 million, less taxes.
Mega Millions tickets must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing and are available at any of the Lottery’s over 11,000 retailers.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million. For additional information, please visit the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com.
