Detroit winner claims $10,000

LANSING, August 22, 2007 – Curtis Seikel is a very lucky man!  He won $10,000 when he scratched a winning Lucky Stars Instant ticket.

The winner was “shocked” when he realized he was a big winner.  He plans to use the prize money to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Julian Mini Mart, 12181 Livernois Ave., in Detroit.

$1 Million Lucky Stars is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
