LANSING, August 9, 2007 – A very lucky Crystal Falls man claimed a $1 million prize after he scratched a top prize winning $40,000,000 Spectacular Instant ticket!

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he buys Instant Lottery tickets regularly.  He was shocked with the win.  “I thought I was losing my mind”, said the lucky winner.

He plans to invest his prize money and hid the winning ticket in the trunk of a car before cashing his ticket in at the Lottery office in Lansing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sagola Mini Mart, N10096 State Hwy. M95, in Sagola.

$40,000,000 Spectacular is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
