LANSING, August 9, 2007 – He has played the Lottery since 1972, he has won a few thousand dollars a couple of times, and now he’s a jackpot winner thanks to the Fantasy 5 game!

A very lucky anonymous man claimed $218,026 after he matched all five numbers in the July 16 drawing.

Excited about his win, the player “couldn’t fall asleep” once he realized he’d won.  He plans to use the prize money for home improvements and future plans.

The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Diamond Dot Market, 38500 Hayes Rd., in Clinton Township.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
