LANSING, August 9, 2007 – A lucky Livonia woman is $10,000 richer after she claimed a winning $40,000,000 Spectacular Instant ticket.

Rose Mufarreh was “surprised” when she realized her big win.  She plans to use the prize money to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Summit Party Shoppe, 32139 Plymouth Rd., in Livonia.

$40,000,000 Spectacular is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
