Midland man cashes in

LANSING, August 9, 2007 – A longtime and loyal Lottery player claimed his $10,000 after he matched four white balls and the Mega ball in the July 31 Mega Millions drawing!

Harold Schultz of Midland wasn’t sure he had really won when he saw his numbers on the TV screen; he was sure when he cashed his big ticket though.  The lucky winner plans to use the prize money to build an addition onto his house.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at M-20 Express Stop, 633 W. Isabella Rd., in Midland.

In his spare time, the winner enjoys fishing, scuba diving and snow skiing.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
