Grand Rapids player wins big

LANSING, August 9, 2007 – Matching all eight numbers in an 8-Spot Club Keno game really paid off for Vernetta Denslow of Grand Rapids.

The lucky winner won $10,000 for the match!  The winning ticket was hid in a pocket for safe keeping and the winner plans to use the prize money to buy a new car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cascade Sports Grill, 6240 28th St. SE, in Cascade.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
