LANSING, August 9, 2007 – A shocked Hazel Park man plans to use his $298,297 Fantasy 5 prize for home improvements, a new car and game systems for his kids.

The anonymous winner claimed his prize after matching all five numbers in the Aug. 2 drawing.  He stuck the ticket in a plastic bag until cashing it in at the Lottery office in Lansing.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven 17636, 8988 Middlebelt Rd., in Livonia.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
