All top Millionaire Raffle prizes claimed

LANSING, August 3, 2007 – The last two top prizes from the July 11 Millionaire Raffle were claimed this week in Lansing by players from Escanaba and Lansing.

One lucky winner, who purchased her ticket at Dashmesh One in Lansing, claimed a $100,000 prize on Monday.

The final $100,000 prize was claimed Friday by anonymous winner who bought the lucky ticket at Super One Foods in Escanaba.  The Gladstone resident said she is normally very frugal and almost passed on buying the ticket because of the price.  She has no special plans for the prize money yet.

Sixteen other lucky Millionaire Raffle winners claimed their prizes in July:

Daniel Poole Sr. of Jackson; Calleen Neidling of Elmira; Lucky Smith Woods Lottery Club from Battle Creek; Dennes Vien of Negaunee; Mary Kramer of Muskegon; and a lottery club from Berrien Springs have all claimed $100,000 and About Time Lottery Club from Coleman has claimed $1 million. Four anonymous winners have claimed $100,000 prizes and five have claimed prizes of $1 million.

The Millionaire Raffle drew numbers for six prizes of $1 million each; 12 prizes of $100,000 each; and 2,000 prizes of $500 each.  Only 600,000 tickets, at $20 each, were sold for the drawing, giving the game the best odds ever offered by the Michigan Lottery to win $1 million.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.  For additional information, please visit the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com.
