Lucky Stars prize claimed

LANSING, July 23, 2007 – A very lucky Grand Rapids man claimed a $10,000 prize on the Lottery’s $250,000 Lucky Stars instant game.

Timothy Stillson, who is not a regular Lottery player, was “dumbfounded” with his huge win.  He hid the ticket in his briefcase before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Wyoming office.  Stillson has no immediate plans for his prize money.

The winning ticket was purchased at B & B Party Depot, 501 Leonard St., NE, in Grand Rapids.

$250,000 Lucky Stars is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
