LANSING, July 19, 2007 – A very lucky Garden City man won a whopping $10,000 when he scratched a winning Super Red Hot Cashword ticket!

Nathan Hughes was “surprised” when he realized he’d won $10,000!  He plans to use the prize money for home improvements.

He purchased the lucky ticket at D’Angelo’s Party Store, 30604 Ford Rd., in Garden City.

Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
