LANSING, June 21, 2007 – Colleen Lynch is very lucky lady!  She matched four white ball numbers, plus the Mega ball to win a whopping $10,000!  She also matched three white balls on a second Mega Millions draw to win an extra $7.

The lucky woman said she saw her numbers in the newspaper and was “happy”.  She hid the ticket in a folder before claiming her prize.  She has been playing the same numbers for 10 years.

She plans use the prize money to pay bills.  The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Village Corner Party Store, 21016 M-68 Highway in Onaway.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
