LANSING, June 7, 2007 – A lucky Livonia winner has claimed $246,000 after he matched all five numbers in the May 24 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, has been playing the Lottery “forever” and had to check the numbers three times before he could believe his eyes.

He plans to use the prize money to pay bills and share with his children.  He purchased the lucky own pick ticket at Smoker’s Emporium, 27424 6 Mile Rd., in Livonia.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
