Chesterfield man wins $10,015

LANSING, June 6, 2007 – A very lucky man matched eight of eight Club Keno numbers and five of eight numbers on the same ticket to win a huge $10,015 prize.

The retired man told Lottery officials that he was so happy with his win, he “jumped in the air and screamed.”  The anonymous man hid the ticket in his pocket before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights office.

In his free time, the lucky winner enjoys sports and playing Club Keno.  He plans to pay bills with is prize money.

The very lucky winner purchased his easy pick ticket at Rosie O’Grady’s, 30400 23 Mile Rd., in Chesterfield.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
