LANSING, May 31, 2007 – A very lucky Vandalia player’s 5 Card Stud instant game ticket proved lucky when she cashed it in for a whopping top prize of $30,000!

The 40-year-old regular Lottery player told Lottery officials that she was “in shock” with the win.  She hid the ticket in her purse before redeeming it at Lottery Central in Lansing.  She plans to use the prize money to purchase a house.

The winning ticket was purchased at KB Village Express, 1101 E. State St., in Cassopolis.

5 Card Stud is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
