LANSING, May 31, 2007 – Tracy Henshaw and her husband Tim are very thankful for their daughter Samantha. Not only is she a great kid, but she picked eight Club Keno numbers for her parents to play and they ended up $20,000 richer!
Usually the prize for matching eight of eight numbers is $10,000, but because the Henshaws picked the Club Keno Kicker option, which came out 2X, it bumped their prize up to a whopping $20,000 win!
The Tecumseh couple was shocked when all of their numbers came up. They plan on using their winnings to pay for Driver’s Training for their daughter and purchasing a new car.
The bartender purchased the winning own pick ticket at The Embers Bar, 1370 W. Chicago Blvd., in Tecumseh.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
