Eagle woman wins $30,000

LANSING, May 31, 2007 – A very lucky Eagle woman won a $30,000 top prize on the Lottery’s $30,000 Bingo instant game.  This is the largest win to date for the 48-year-old regular Lottery player.  She hid the winning ticket in her husband’s wallet before cashing it in at the Lottery Central office in Lansing.

Bernie Harmon plans on paying off her credit cards and purchasing a new lawn mower with her prize money.  She enjoys playing the Lottery, playing bingo and gambling in her free time.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sunoco, 645 Menard Dr., in Lansing.

$30,000 Bingo is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
