LANSING, May 21, 2007 – A very lucky Imlay City woman is $10,000 richer, thanks to the Michigan Lottery’s $10,000,000 Game Book instant game.  Sharon DeGroat told Lottery officials she was in “pure shock” when she discovered her win.

She hid the ticket in a lock box before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights regional office.  The fortunate woman plans to pay bills and have some fun with her winnings.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Len’s Party Store, 318 E. Capac Rd., in Imlay City. 

$10,000,000 Game Book is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
