LANSING, May 21, 2007 – An occasional Lottery player cashed in big when the Fantasy 5 numbers that she picked on her own were drawn on May 14.  She won a whopping $140,000 when she matched all five numbers.

After checking her ticket on the Lottery’s Web site, she didn’t believe her good fortune.  In fact, the anonymous woman from Detroit didn’t believe her good fortune until a Lottery official handed her the check! 

The lucky winner plans to pay bills with her prize money.  The winner has recently taken up stained glass making in her free time.

The winning ticket was purchased at L & J Fill Up, Inc. 17776 Grand River Ave., in Detroit.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
