Student spells "C-A-S-H"

LANSING, May 15, 2007 – Kayla Serges of Flushing is a lucky Cashword player!  Serges scratched a winning $35,000 ticket!

Serges’ aunt purchased the ticket for her and she couldn’t believe her eyes when she scratched the ticket and revealed the top prize!  The lucky winner plans to put her money to good use – to help her family and save for school.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway #8397, 1001 W. Caro Rd., in Caro.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
